Don't Mess With Aussie Lumberjacks

Australian loggers have an "animated conversation" with protesters (language alert; although, frankly, except for the "F" word, it's completely incoherent to me).

Here in aus, the word c*nt is used exclusively AFAIK between males, as in 'ya fuggin c*nt', which at full volume as in the video usually indicates maximum anger and means strong violence is imminent (otherwise in a softer laughing voice it could be a friendly address). Using the word in anger to describe a woman sounds to me odd,(as Hank did in an episode of Larry Sanders Show) sort of redundant like calling a woman a pooftah. These things evolve over centuries and perhaps the US preserves an old 18th century way of talking.

That was from me, for some reason it didn't do the usual.

Andrew Bolt has now posted the context. Do read what this hard-working logger had had to put up with for years.

CL, When I read about the context, and the letter from the presumptuous, *judgmental*, academic, it made me really angry.

I did notice, I think, in the video that the guy from the car, in the grey hood, walked away untouched, no sign of pain or injury - I'll bet he was lying about the 'kicking'.

Aye, Bruce. The man has obviously been pushed to breaking point by these illegally behaving miscreants. I don't approve of his own unlawful behaviour but you can't (essentially) go on robbing a man and his employees of hundreds of thousands of dollars and expect them to sit back and do nothing. He has apparently had $3 million worth of equipment sabotaged over the years.

Paco, that clip is broadcast in clear. Every word clear & comprehensible.

Perhaps turn your speakers up.

Steve: Hmm. Maybe I need a Berlitz course.

Paco, I could transcribe that for you, but its far faster and easier to surmise it as:

"Get out of me F*ckin' way ya c*nts"

I know a few blokes who would not have been that nice in that situation; lets just say if there was no video, there would have been no protest.

Its a big place with a lot of dirt.
