Mid-Spring at the Paco Command Center

We had torrential rains here in Fairfax, Virigina the other night. Plenty of thunder, too, which upset Mabel - the official dog of Paco Enterprises - causing her to yowl and whimper. An oak tree fell on a neighbor's house, literally cutting it in two (fortunately, no one was hurt).

I suppose the rain was good for the plants, though. Our rhododendrons and roses are beginning to bloom (click images to enlarge).

The clematis is looking pretty good, too.

I am expecting someone from ACORN to knock on your door any day now, complaining that your neighbours have no flowers and that you must therefore redistribute yours to those around you with no gardening ability.

From little ACORNS do giant fascists grow. If they come around here, I've got a rough equivalent of "Round-Up" for them.
