Citizens' Death Panel Gives Thumbs Down to ObamaCare

The citizens' revolt is having some effect.

First, the senate sends the grim rationer packing, and now there is serious talk about dropping the public option.

Not good enough. The notion is to replace the public option with so-called "co-ops", which could easily become tools of the government. And there are plenty of other provisions that make this a bad bill.

Don't trust this administration, and the Democratic Party, with any significant change to our system of health care.

Smitty at The Other McCain also remains en garde.

Insty has link saying Sebelius "misspoke" and given The Won's non-existant record of compromise I think we've got the best part of the battle against health care reform still to fight.

If the Obamacrats think this is going to save them come 2010, they're dumber than even I thought. Even if they were to come out and flatly state that the public option is gone, I wouldn't trust them at this point. I don't trust anybody who tells me to stop talking and get out of the way, and calls me a racist and a Nazi.

I don't think any of us are falling for this shell game. The twin pillars of liberalism over the last few decades are legalized abortion and "free" healthcare. They will never give up on nationalized healthcare. Their healthcare program makes no sense without the public option-leading to singlepayer.

Don't forget, you will be mandated to enroll in that public option, too!
