In a really efficient, modern state, you know what happens to bad little citizens who don’t eat their peas? The government crams ‘em down their throats - for the citizenry’s own good, of course.

Yeah, I read Freidman's spew a few days ago. Jeez, if this guy wants a dictator to worship, move to Cuba or North Korea, and leave the rest of us alone.

I guess they're too enlightened to require the constraints of any Kyoto type policies as well? Maybe we should take the cue from our betters. Freidman somehow failed to notice that they are also grabbing every drop of crude they can get their hands on.
They also want to overtake us in things like carriers, submarines and strike aircraft. Wonder what Freidman's reaction will be when they plough their way into the rest of Asia in the next decade?
