The victors write not only the history, but the historiography. I think Progressives are as eager as anybody else to find historical models for their actions, but not in any genuinely objective, analytical sense. That's why their history is largely propaganda and their historiography a con game.
Historical references are fine, but they need to be made relevant to the generations of today. The Tom Hanks sellouts must be refuted in any way possible.

If someone like Tom Hanks believes the Pacific War was largely a product of western racism - then we have a problem alright.
