Mark Steyn opines on the debt-ceiling debate. Great observation: “We are sending a consistent message to the world that the political structures of the United States do not allow for meaningful course correction. Ugh, here in Australia too the government looks like it's trying to co-opt artists into supporting their emissions trading scheme in exchange for a whole crapload of taxpayer moolah. In fact just the other day the Baron got an email calling for artistic expressions of interest, etc.

It's pretty shameless stuff and will probably end up deterring a whole load of artists who would have otherwise been inclined to support the government - it's a reminder that at the leaders of the redistributive, socialist left don't value culture, they value propaganda.

Paco, or anyone else who will not spend like a crazy person has my vote.

I believe that Paco is a real conservative and not a rino so I wish he were really a candidate who was well known. My money is still on Perry and maybe Rubio.

I like Col. Milquetoast's Obama Plan summary.

Altho it seems like I've seen it before, somewhere. :)
