You say pi, I say tau...

pi, pi, tau, tau, pi, tau...

Let's call the whole thing off.

Math was never my strong point, but I do admire those who know the stuff. I think I became numerically traumatized trying to grasp the concept of imaginary numbers in the 12th grade.

"Tau" is already in use. Measure of closeness to the lightspeed limit, and thus of temporal contraction. "Tau Zero" is at c, when time flow stops.

Minicapt, π is an irrational number. But at least π can be calculated, and universally agreed upon.

The Dems' budget numbers, not so much.

mojo, τ is also used to express shear stress in structural cross-sections. So there's two strikes.

It also stands for "Teletubbies in Actual Use"; which is a 3rd strike.
