Looks like the administration's having another transparency problem

Jim Treacher reveals that the State Department is clamming up about the attack in Benghazi that resulted in the death of American ambassador Chris Stevens and other diplomatic personnel. Keep scrolling, and read the infuriating details on Jim's own run-in with State Department stonewalling.

Update: "Burn the strawman!"

Update II: "Photo of the Day".

Update III: In From the Cold has an interesting take.

Update IV: It seems that our Australian friends are currently being, er, honored by the presence of some caliphate fans. Tim Blair has some useful advice for the permanently discontented: "Simply pack up your scimitars, wrap all of your womenfolk in their favourite freedom sacks, and get the hell out of Australia."

Add another transparency problem: 'Logistics' of briefing Romney on intelligence reports.

"As a former command intelligence briefer, I'm wondering why it has become so difficult to get information to Mr. Obama's Republican rival. In reality, the "logistics," cited by Turner are rather simple."

"Truth be told, the "logistics" of getting intel information to Governor Romney are pretty simple. It's really a matter of professional courtesy, one that was readily extended to candidate Obama in 2008, but one that has been denied to Mr. Romney this time around."

I'm really beginning to believe that the Muslim Brotherhood has deeply infiltrated the State Department.

Huma Abedin seems to have infiltrated the Secretary of State at least.
(I believe Mrs Clinton when she says she loves Huma like a daughter; I just don’t believe the “like a daughter” part.)

Rebecca,
I don't believe the Ikhwan al-Muslimi has infiltrated the pros at State. They didn't have to. Most of the pros who deal with the Middle East are Arabists and sympathize with the poor, put-upon Muslims. The ambassador to Libya, who was murdered by the barbarians there (in what was clearly a preplanned attack by heavily armed, professional terrorists, not some spontaneous protest by the local fanatics) was described by a colleague at the Jerusalem Consulate, where he served earlier, as being sympathetic to the Arabs and devoted to their cause. The Ikhwan does seem to have infiltrated the political appointees, by previously getting in good with the "Progressives" in the Democratic Party. As Third-worldism, hatred for America, and Antisemitism have spread among the leftists (and these trends go back over forty years), the Ikhwan and similar Muslim groups have found the Jackass Party more and more congenial as the party's leadership has become more and more leftist.

The Jackass Party is no longer the party of Scoop Jackson, John Kennedy, Harry Truman, LBJ, or even FDR; patriots all, however foolish their economic and social policy ideas were. It is now the party of Henry Wallace, with at least a touch of Earl Browder thrown in.

Michael
You neglected an allusion to Mrs Florence Foster Jenkins as an exemplar for the Democrat Party.
