Obama had a glass of water, too, hidden on a little shelf on the podium; but my sources tell me that some wag informed the president that it was holy water, so he refrained from touching it out of fear that he might suddenly shrivel up like a dried jalapeño pepper.

I rate that as positive. They are scared to death of the guy. The left will always tell you who worries them.
Ordinarily they wouldn't waste two seconds on the Rethuglican response even if the person fell off the chair or wore a funny hat.

Hillary gets blotto, falls down, cracks her noggin, needs two weeks to dry out so she can testify before Congress, comes up with "What difference does it make?" *hic* and it's a career enhancer. Go figure.

It's an old tactic, but it works with the uncritically thinking masses. Afterall, they are applauding mass murderer Chris Dorner. It wouldn't be surprising if they sent flowers for his funeral.
