The clothes have no emperor

Whether the West can survive the twin threats of Islamic terrorism and Islamic migration will depend on the commitment of European and American leaders to identifying and defending the sacred ground of core western values, and combating the existential threats to our civilization both at home and abroad. Inevitably this means, among other things, a commitment to military action which, while it should be realistic and limited in scope, must be overwhelming in the effect of its execution. Although it is useful, and necessary, to pick off the occasional “Jihadi John”, there is no substitute for demolishing the enemy’s infrastructure, supply lines and training facilities – and for cutting their soldiers down by the thousand.

None of this will be possible, at least as far as the United States is concerned, until the next presidential inauguration (possibly not even then, if our ageing Evita is wheeled into the White House courtesy of the Wall St./ media axis). One thing that is certain is that President Dunning-Kruger will be making no changes to his failed strategy - because, in this administration, while failure’s always an option, the awareness of it, let alone the acknowledgement of it, never is.

Update: As if I had just ordered up a piping hot cup of "told you so", here come Ace and Red State with some prime excoriation of Obama's bizarre press conference today.

Really, what does this farrago of clotted verbiage mean?
“What I’m not interested in doing is posing or pursuing some notion of American leadership or America winning or whatever other slogans they come up with that has no relationship to what is actually going to work to protect the American people and to protect the people in the region who are getting killed and to protect our allies and people like France. I’m too busy for that.”
Well, there's at least one unintended true thing he spoke: he's definitely not interested in "pursuing some notion of American leadership".

Clueless. Idiot. Ignorant and incurious. Ideological dedicant. Bubble-wrapped Alinskyite. Secret Muslim, Wrightest/black liberationist dilettante claiming to be a Christian American. None of these words can describe the reality that is Barack Obama. He is, quite simply, Planet X in our solar system, unseen, not understood, ultimately destructive in that he can send asteroids and comets out of orbit to hit and destroy us. That's the only way I can describe this surreal man and his surreal destructive hold on our polity.

Remember when the POTUS was called "Leader of the Free World"?
What we seem to have now, is the "Leader of the Bizarro World".

430 days left.

Closing borders, putting France under state of emergency, and this by a left wing leader: Hollande. This is how a President of a Republic acts, since Roman times. Standard stuff which used to be bipartisan.

Mr Obama: There was an old Firesign Theatre skit which began "Everything you know is wrong". Euro liberals (like Napoleon) say all sorts of things but perhaps you missed the wider meaning: the Republic must survive, even if French troops have to invade and occupy (and exploit) the threatening nation. This was always implicit.

Russia and the US (and France etc) should agree like the Portuguese and Spanish of old to occupy and carve up the middle east. There will be administration jobs for everyone and the locals will pay for it. Only nuclear families of middle easterners with two children will be permitted. The rest will be disbursed in road building groups. In fact Mecca should be the new US colonial base. Or let the Russians run it if it seems too repulsive. Ahh but it is only a dream of mine.

I detest Christiane Amanpour but she talks like a real European leftist and serves it up to Obama here:

He and his ilk have been living in a bubble of imagined victimhood. Real leftism is aggressive and expansionist, imposing its values, that isn't just "neoconservatives". The problem in the Mid East starts is their creepy family structure. There is not room on earth for both our modern and their extended polygamist cousin marriage systems: baby factories. They must be stopped. And it's easier to do that in the medieval places they come from, before they come to our countries, using local systems and resources. But forget this "united front" nonsense. Make alliance with the powerful, project power. The rest will fall into line. The Saudis must go though. Instantly, their wealth should go straight to the US treasury. The Khabah should be dismantled and put in a Washington park for children to play on. The Iranians may have it if they apologise for past wrongs and join the world. But Mecca must go. "Muslims" must be made to value their western citizenship over their religion, or back they go to the olde country under colonial rule. That's my strategy, Christiane. Napoleon would approve:
